

The Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs (MCACA), part of the Michigan Economic Development Corporation, strengthens arts and culture in Michigan by increasing its visibility; supporting arts education; encouraging new, creative and innovative works of art; and broadening cultural understanding. A key conduit for arts and cultural information, MCACA is also a source of arts and culture grant funding.
The Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs (MCACA) coordinates grants to arts and culture organizations, cities and municipalities, and other nonprofit organizations ensuring that every citizen and community in Michigan enjoys the civic, economic and educational benefits of arts and culture. An example of a regional grant includes, applicants can ask for one grant up to $4000 as long as the amount is no more than half of what the event costs. The program is administered by the Office of Arts, Culture and Film of Oakland County and funded through the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs.
Additionally, the Michigan Film & Digital Media Office is the preeminent place for filmmakers, digital media artists and producers, along with being home to a wide range of talent in the state’s creative industries. The Michigan Film and Digital Media Office has positioned Michigan as a worldwide production destination and provides a number of services and information regarding filming, production, permitting and more.
